Who will photograph my wedding?
Me of course! On nearly all events I also use a 2nd photographer that has been with me for over 10 years and is incredibly talented.
How long have you been in business?
I have been a professional photographer since 1992 and have been shooting weddings since 2001.
What is your photography style for weddings?
I always find this one difficult to answer. Like, how do you describe the color blue? I can only tell you what I have heard others tell me. I’m laid back, and can be a calming reassurance on a sometimes crazy day. I’m passionate about my work and occasionally shed a tear at a wedding. Some weddings remind me of my own wedding. I work hard. Yes this is my job but to me every wedding is an opportunity to work on my craft. I don’t want to miss a chance for a great image. I’ve heard my work described as clean, sharp, vibrant, and emotional. I guess the best way I’ve ever said it is that I photograph a wedding as if National Geographic were photographing your wedding. You will have beautiful images that will not only record your day but will describe all the underlying stories, emotions, customs and feelings that your day was all about.
How many weddings do you shoot per year?
I average 20-25 weddings per year which also includes engagement sessions. I also photograph 50-100 portrait sessions per year.
Have you photographed a wedding at my venue before?
If it’s in Southern California, then probably yes. And on the rare occasion that I have not worked at your venue before then we will definitely give it a look before the wedding day.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Of course. I highly encourage you to have an engagement session as it allows us the chance to work together on a non stressful day and becomes almost like a practice session for the big day..
Have you photographed LGBTQ same sex weddings?
Yes!! I have photographed several throughout California.
What if you have an emergency on my wedding day?
Luckily I have not missed a single wedding in over 17 years, that’s over 700 events!! If something catastrophic were to happen, I have several 2nd photographers in place that would be available the day of your event.
Should I give you a list of pictures we want?
It works great for all your family photos. And of course we will strive to get every single detail as well.
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use the very latest profession Nikon gear and always bring backups.
Do you have insurance?
Absolutely, I carry double the minimum required by most venues and can provide a copy to your venue upon request.
How long does it take to get my images after the wedding?
Most of my clients see images within a week of the wedding and many even look at them while on their honeymoon.
Do you retouch our wedding photographs?
All images are edited, and corrected for color and brightness before they are posted to your online gallery. Detailed retouching is done on every image that we use for prints, albums or any large wall art. You will receive the retouched images along with your digital negatives.
How do you store my images?
Before leaving the wedding I make a 2nd copy of all images. Once home all images are then transferred to a secure RAID system then again to an external hard drive. Once editing is completed all finished images are again stored on a secure raid system, also on an external hard drive located in a fire proof safe. You will also receive a copy of all images to store at home.
