**UPDATE** This engagement session has been featured on Trendy Groom.
An engagement session has so much freedom attached to it that sometimes it’s difficult to pick a direction or feeling that I want to portray. When planning a photo shoot with my clients, I like to ask them what they want to accomplish for their engagement session. Do they lean towards beautiful scenic backgrounds such as the beach, mountains, fields of flowers, etc… or do they want to get a little gritty and do something more urban. Sometimes they want something unique like my Petco Park baseball stadium engagement or even snowboarding and fly-fishing. Every now and then they will just say, “We don’t care, just make us look good”. When Tejan & Monika booked me for their engagement session, they had a very specific set of locations already picked out. I had never photographed at either location but the Colorado Street Bridge was on my bucket list and The Redbury (@theredbury) was similar to some great LA locations I’ve shot in the past. Wardrobe was a snap as I knew both of them had a great sense of style and they just seemed to fit together. I was excited, which of course made me nervous. I’m always nervous for a shoot as I have such high expectations of myself and really want to deliver for my clients. Tejan & Monika were perfect, the shots came out great and I can’t wait to share. Check them out and thank you for stopping by.
